Ideal Carehomes’ Staff To Be Recognised At Care Awards

idealNewfield Lodge Home Manager, Paula Mountjoy, is a finalist at the Great British Care Awards.

Nearly 40 Ideal Carehomes’ staff have been shortlisted as finalists for the regional Great British Care Awards this year.  The staff have been nominated by colleagues, relatives and residents and have been picked by a team of judges from their region.

There are finalists from many of the Ideal Carehomes’ 15 homes, and their positions range from Laundry Assistant to Home Manager.  Each finalist is shortlisted in a category which is specific to their job role, such as the Care Newcomer Award or Ancillary Worker Award.

The finalists will attend a judging day where they will meet with several judges who themselves work within the care sector.  They will then be invited to attend a gala dinner where they will find out if they have been successful and are through to the national awards.

The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.  Staff at Newfield Lodge in Castleford were delighted to find out they have four finalists in the competition, including Home Manager, Paula Mountjoy.  She said, “I am thrilled to be nominated of course, but I am most excited for the other members of the team.  They work so hard and really deserve this recognition.  In fact, the whole staff team are so dedicated and committed, and the Great British Care Awards really raises the profile of the care sector as a whole.”

Ideal Carehomes is a provider of high quality residential and dementia care in 15 homes across the North and Midlands.  They are committed to offering their residents aspirational lifestyle choices and an active social environment with events, trips and daily activities on offer.
