Iceman” The Falcon Saved By Arbroath Care Home Staff

Faith McReynolds and Lynne Doyle, two domestic staff from BCG’s Antiquary care home in Arbroath, certainly earned their wings on their walk to work this week by saving an exotic hybrid falcon in distress.

They saw what they initially thought was a pigeon, being attacked by a murder of crows. Not only did they swoop in and save the bird, but by the power of the SSPCA, they managed to reunite him with his owner in Forfar.

It turns out the little gent’s name is Iceman, a two-year-old Gyrfalcon and Red-naped Shaheen hybrid and had been missing for three weeks.

Home Manager, Sarah Donley, said:
“We’re all about care at Antiquary but these two have taken it to the streets!

“We couldn’t be prouder of Faith and Lynne for this good deed and delighted to see young Iceman returned to his family after being lost for what must have been three long weeks. Bravo!”
