Heartwarming Children’s Carnival Unites Generations at Cuffley Manor and Cooperscroft Care Homes
Cuffley Manor and Cooperscroft Care Homes are delighted to announce the success of their Children’s Carnival, held on June 29, 2024. The event brought together over 60 children and their families from the local community, creating an atmosphere of joy and intergenerational connection.
The carnival featured a variety of attractions, ensuring a fun-filled afternoon for all ages. Highlights included pony rides, face painting, a circus performance, a captivating magic show, and live music from a talented local musician. Guests also enjoyed a delicious barbecue, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Marion Wak William, Home Manager of Cuffley Manor, expressed her delight with the event’s success. “It was wonderful to see our residents and the local community come together for an afternoon of fun and laughter. The smiles on the children’s faces and the joy shared by everyone present made the carnival truly special.”
Dinesh Francis, Home Manager of Cooperscroft Care Home, echoed these sentiments. “Our residents were thrilled to participate in the carnival and interact with the younger generation. Events like these are crucial in enhancing the well-being of our residents and fostering a sense of community.”
The event was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Hertsmere Council, Parveen Rani, and local police officers from South Mims police station, highlighting the importance of community engagement and support for local initiatives.
The carnival was meticulously coordinated by Dawn Cawley, Business Development Manager, and Ravi Joshi, Assistant Business Development Manager. Their dedication ensured a wide range of activities that catered to all ages, making the event a resounding success.
The residents of both care homes expressed their delight at the opportunity to engage with the younger generation. “It was wonderful to see the children having so much fun,” said Malcolm, a resident of Cuffley Manor. Dudley, a resident of Cooperscroft Care Home, added, “The magic show was my favorite part. It brought back so many fond memories of my childhood.”
