Hallmark Foundation To Make £78,000 Donation To Care Workers’ Charity
Hallmark Care Homes Foundation is to donate £78,000 to the Care Workers’ Charity over the next three years as part of their continued commitment.
The donation will fund the role of a mental health grants administration worker, who will be dedicated to the organisation and processing of applications to the charity’s mental health and support programme.
The funding for CWC’s Mental Health and Support Programme will help promote and deliver the service which includes up to ten counselling sessions and bespoke support to more care workers over the next three years.
Karolina Gerlich, Chief Executive Officer of The Care Workers’ Charity says:
“The Care Workers’ Charity has been working hard to support our social care heroes, whose need has greatly increased since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Without external support, we would not be able to this, so we are extremely grateful for the generous funding agreed by Hallmark Care Homes Foundation, which represents a continued collaboration between our two organisations, and whose shared values to support the social care sector will make a hugely positive impact on our work and the sector at large.”
Avnish Goyal, Chair of Hallmark Care Homes Foundation and Hallmark Care Homes says:
“Care workers have been at the forefront of tackling the pandemic over the last sixteen months. The stress and added demands have inevitably come with a huge toll on mental health. Our support for the Care Workers’ Charity will enable more care workers to get the mental health support they need in a timely and appropriate way. The charity continues to do fantastic work to support this vital workforce.”
