Hagley Care Home Brings Local Community Together Through Monthly Networking Breakfasts
A Hagely care home has launched a new monthly Networking Breakfast that is fast becoming a community favourite.
Designed to highlight impactful initiatives within the local area, the events took place at The Gables Care Home, part of Cinammon Care Collection. The gatherings aimed to provide a platform for supporting local businesses, organisations and charities.
The Networking Breakfast has quickly grown into a popular gathering where members of the local community come together to share updates, exchange ideas and explore opportunities to support one another.
Following a recent session, two friends who had not seen each other in more than 30 years were unexpectedly reunited. Neither knew the other would be attending and, by coincidence, discovered that they had both gone on to build careers in the same field – hearing and ear-care services. One now provides community-based hearing support, while the other runs a Hagley‑based hearing practice.
Mark Shockledge, Operations Manager at The Gables Care Home, said, “Seeing our networking breakfast event grow into such a supportive and uplifting space has been amazing to see. These events are about more than networking; they’re about connection. Within our first three events, to witness rekindled friendships, new partnerships and people coming together with such enthusiasm has been really special.”
The Networking Breakfast forms part of The Gables’ ongoing commitment to building strong community relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement beyond the care home.
Paul Turvey, Home Admissions Advisor, added: “The warmth and energy at these breakfasts are unmatched. It’s rare to find a networking event that feels so genuinely community-focused. We’re proud to have created a brilliant space where local enterprises and charities can connect and support each other.”
Anyone who would like to attend is invited to join the next free Networking Breakfast on 25th June, 8:00 am–10:00 am. Please book by contacting gables.haa2@cinnamoncc.com.
