Gold Care Homes Acquire Further Care Home Continuing Expansion Plans

Following last year’s success in acquiring three former Four Seasons care homes in Greater London, and launching their flagship luxury new build, Peverel Green Care Home in Hatfield Peverel, Essex, Gold Care Homes today announced the completion of another acquisition in London.

The acquisition of indpendent care and nursing home, St. David’s Care Home in Ealing, takes Gold Care’s portfolio to 34 homes and makes them the 24th largest care home group in the UK.

The long-established and historic St David’s Care Home is based in a former Royal residence in Ealing, first purposed as a care home in 1918 by Lady Anne Kerr, daughter of the 14th Duke of Norfolk.

The 76-bed home has provided care services for former servicemen and women in more recent years and following it’s welcome into the Gold Care Homes group will now open it’s services to older people with, or without military connections making their services accessible to everyone in need of care in Ealing and the surrounding areas.

Sukhi Gidar, CEO of Gold Care Homes said,
‘I would like to extend a very warm Gold Care welcome to the residents and staff at St. David’s Care Home. My late brother and I started Gold Care Homes in 1999, with one care home and a single mission which was to bring joy, happiness and fulfilment to the residents in our care. 25 years later, our group continues to go from strength to strength, now serving nearly 2000 residents.’

Kier Dungo, Managing Director for the Central and South regions for Gold Care Homes said,
‘We are delighted to welcome St. David’s to our growing portfolio of care homes. As with all of our previous acquisitions we will be investing in the home and the fantastic staff who care for our residents. My existing team and I look forward to working closely with the team at St. David’s to ensure a smooth transition into the Gold Care family.
