Gifts Filled With Love For Care Home Families

Families of residents living at a St Helens Nursing Home have been receiving gift bags filled with love and personal messages from their loved ones.

Over the last two weeks, care staff from Stocks Hall Nursing Home in St Helens have been helping those living at home to create personalised ‘Miss You’ bags for their nearest and dearest.  Bags were filled with handmade cards, poetry, photographs, artwork and many more special touches as a sentimental gesture to say how they were feeling and how much they miss their relatives.

The gifts have been gratefully received from family members.  Joan Ridgeway’s sister Ann, living at the Home said “Such a lovely and thoughtful thing to do.  Thank you for all you are doing to keep our family members safe.”

Speaking on behalf of the Home, WISH Activity Team, Laraine Prescott said “The response to the ‘Miss You Bags’ has been amazing. Everyone who has received their special bags have been completely overwhelmed, especially to read the personal notes from their loved ones. It is fantastic to be able to bring joy and comfort to both our families and residents in these difficult times.”
