Festive Fun At Redworth House Care Home

Residents and members of staff at Redworth House in Shildon put on their best Christmas fancy dress and enjoyed a festive fayre at the home.

Members of the local community attended the home’s Christmas market, which was made up of stalls with wooden Christmas presents, handbags, jewellery, arts and crafts and cakes and, of course, attendees wore their own festive fancy dress too!

The day raised funds which will be put towards the resident’s comfort fund.

Based on Byerley Road, Redworth House is part of Shaftesbury Care Group ltd, which is managed by Care Living, and provides nursing and residential care for up to 57 residents. The home predominantly offers nursing and residential care for elderly residents, including those with dementia.

Kevin Partis, Deputy Manager at Redworth House, said: “The residents had a fantastic time at the fayre and it was great to see members of the community joining us and getting in the festive spirit.

“We raised a great amount for our resident’s comfort fund to make this Christmas that extra bit more special.”
