Europe’s First “Care Home Marketing” Summit Held In London

Europe’s first ever “Marketing Care Homes To Attract Private Residents” summit was held in London this month.

The summit, hosted by care home PR and marketing agency Springup PR, was an invitation-only event for care home providers to showcase their pioneering marketing and PR strategies.

The afternoon summit on September 11 at the Swan restaurant in Bankside was for owners and directors of care groups/homes.

It was heralded as “the first summit of its kind in Europe where everyone in the care sector could learn from and be inspired by” – and included presentations from representatives of Hallmark, Anchor Hanover, Oakland Care and The Close Care Home.

Christian Poole, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Hallmark Care Homes, kicked off the event by sharing his experience on “Why – And How – We Rebranded Hallmark Care Homes”.

Sanjay Dhrona, managing director at The Close Care Home and Director of the Outstanding Society and Neil Taylor, Head Of Digital at Anchor Hanover, then chaired a “fire-side chat” session on “Building Community Engagement (Including How Our Care Home Became The Most Followed Care Home On Facebook!”

Neil Taylor described how one of Anchor’s care homes, became what is believed to be the most popular care home on Facebook with 30,000 followers

Oakland Care’s director of marketing Rachel Tiff and its marketing manager Tsahia Shaw, presented on “PR: How We Get Journalists To (Continuously) Write Amazing Stories About Our Care Homes”

Adam James of Springup PR, sharing data from care providers, talked on “What I’ve Learned Running £250k of Google Ads For Care Home To get More Enquiries”.
