Elderly Reminisce About The Old Times At Peterlee Social Club

A PINT, dominoes and pool was “just like old times” for the elderly at a Peterlee care home.

The residents of Bannatyne Lodge Care Home, on Manor Way, were treated to an afternoon down the local social club.

They were joined by relatives and staff from the home at Peterlee Labour Club, also on Manor Way.

Resident Ronnie Sumpton said: “It was just like old times visiting the club. The atmosphere was great.”

Lynn Chapman, home manager at Bannatyne Lodge, said: “Going for a drink and a game of pool at the local club was always part of life for many residents before they came to live at the home.

“It’s great to be able to continue this and see residents having loads of fun.”
