Easter Fun Brings Smiles To Residents At Archers Park Care Home

Everyone at Archers Park care home in Farrington, Sunderland, has been getting creative with Easter-themed celebrations including a lovely bonnet parade and competition.

Every bonnet was carefully designed by residents during their arts and craft activity sessions. They later wore their hats and paraded together during their Easter party where they enjoyed afternoon tea, cakes and cocktails. The top 4 winners of the Easter bonnet competition were announced, and each lucky winner received an Easter egg, donated to the home by families of the residents.

Margaret Gibson, resident and winner of the Easter bonnet competition said “Well done to all the winners! All the bonnets were fabulously designed so I didn’t expect to win and received such a lovely prize. Thank you so much.”

Sharon Easterbrook-Smith, Home Manager, commented “Our residents did so well, and they enjoyed joining in and interacting with each other. Everyone loved the Easter bonnet parade, and it was amazing to watch and see their delightful faces filled with joy and laughter. Well done to everyone involved! Overall, it was a great Easter weekend and I’d like to say a massive thank you to the families who donated Easter eggs to our residents, this was very kind and thoughtful.
