Diamond Anniversary Celebrations for Resident Couple at Burnley Based Care Home

A resident couple at a Burnley based care home recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with a special party.

John and Pat Naylor got married in 1962 after meeting each other during a dance at Compton and Web Mill, in Curzon Street.

They currently reside at MHA Heather Grange and were treated to a special party surrounded by staff members and other residents.

The couple have three children, Ian, Tracey and Julie who joined them at the home to celebrate the anniversary.

The party included a singalong with plenty of dancing and everyone having a good time.

John said:
“It feels good to have been married to Pat for so long, and the secret to a long and successful marriage is to look after one another.

“Both of us have been living at the home for more than two years and are enjoying our time here.

“We are both very grateful for the wonderful party the home arranged for us and celebrating the day with our family was a treat.

“Everyone had a great time, there was a lot of singing and dancing and it was a really nice day.”
