Cue the Smiles as Congleton Care Home Residents Enjoy Unforgettable Day with Snooker Legends
Residents from Priesty Fields Care Home in Congleton enjoyed a day to remember after being invited to the spectacular Black Ball Event, where they met two of snooker’s biggest stars – Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor.
The event, organised by No Tier Snooker, proved to be a real winner, with residents soaking up the atmosphere, sharing memories of famous matches and enjoying the opportunity to meet two sporting icons whose rivalry captivated millions.
From the moment they arrived, residents were made to feel incredibly welcome by the organisers. For many, meeting Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor brought back memories of watching classic snooker championships over the years, while the warmth and hospitality shown throughout the day ensured plenty of new memories were made.
The visit has continued to be a major talking point around the home, with residents reminiscing about the experience and sharing stories with friends, family and staff.
Rebecca Murphy, home manager at Priesty Fields Care Home, part of Sandstone Care Group, said: “This was such a special day for our residents and one that they will treasure for a long time. Meeting two genuine sporting legends in Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor was something many never imagined they would have the opportunity to do.
“The team at No Tier Snooker really potted something special. They looked after everyone so wonderfully and created an atmosphere full of warmth, fun and excitement. Our residents have been talking about the event ever since we returned and we cannot thank everyone involved enough for making it such a memorable occasion.”
