CQC Rate West Yorkshire Nursing Home Outstanding

The Care Quality Commission has rated the care being provided at Five Rise Nursing Home, in Bingley, to be Outstanding after an inspection in September 2019.

Five Rise Nursing Home is registered to provide accommodation and nursing care for up to 67 people. At the time of the inspection there was 58 people receiving support.

It was rated Good for being safe and effective and Outstanding for being caring, responsive and well-led. It was rated Outstanding overall.

Sheila Grant, Head of Adult Social Care Inspection, said:

“We found this service to be exceptionally caring, treating people with dignity and respect and paying attention to the details. People we spoke with told us that staff were compassionate and took the time to form important bonds with them.

“People’s care was personalised, taking into account their personal preferences and wishes. Staff were knowledgeable about people’s lives and their interests, and worked to ensure they maintained an active relationship with family, friends and the local community.

“The services person-centred care approach resulted in positive outcomes for people and following best practice further enhanced people’s experiences in care. Management were proactive in seeking continuous improvement and developing the service for the benefit of the people in the home. Congratulations on achieving the Outstanding rating, well done.”
