Court House Care Home Welcomes New Manager to Lead Next Chapter

Court House Care Home in Malvern, part of the Superior Care Midlands group, has welcomed highly experienced care professional Jane Brown as its new home manager, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the home.

With more than 35 years’ experience in health and social care, Jane joins the Barnards Green-based home with a passion for high quality, person-centred care and a firm belief that compassion, dignity and respect must sit at the heart of every decision.
Just a few weeks into the role and Jane is already focused on building strong relationships with residents, families and staff, while helping to shape the future of the home ahead of its planned transformation in 2026/27.

Jane began her career as a carer and has since worked her way through a wide range of senior roles, including senior carer, team leader, day centre manager, deputy manager and home manager. This breadth of experience has given her a strong understanding of every aspect of care provision, from frontline support to leadership and operational management.

Speaking about her passion for the sector, Jane said: “In all of the roles I have undertaken, I don’t feel like I’m going to work every day. I feel like I’m going to residents’ homes to make the biggest difference I can.

“That ethos will continue in my new role at Court House, and our residents will be at the heart of everything we do.”

Jane spent 18 years with Care UK, where she was part of the management team within a large 80-bed nursing home. There, she helped oversee both operational management and resident care, while maintaining a strong emphasis on compassion, dignity and staff wellbeing.

She also received the prestigious Care UK Angel of the Year Award in 2016, an achievement she describes as particularly meaningful in her career trajectory.

Jane said: “There’s lots to look forward to, and the addition of the new hydrotherapy pool will be amazing. It will be the only one in the area, so it’s something we’re particularly proud of. But alongside enhancing facilities for residents, I’m equally passionate about supporting staff and creating a positive, collaborative culture throughout the home.”

Amrit Sumal, Managing Director of Superior Care Midlands Ltd, said: “Having previously overseen the transition from older care settings into modern, purpose-built environments, Jane brings valuable experience in managing periods of change while ensuring residents, families and staff remain fully supported throughout the process.”
