Cotswold Care Home Welcomes Rares And Rocco
The Cotswold Home, an Elizabeth Finn care home based in Burford, has welcomed Rares Pop as its new General Manager.
Rares has an established background in care, having worked up through the ranks from his initial role as a nurse, to his previous role as care home manager with the Maria Mallaband care home group.
Originally from Romania, Rares completed degrees in nursing and physiotherapy choosing to focus his career on general hospital nursing. Following his move to the UK in 2014, Rares has built a career in the care home sector, passionate about creating the best possible environment for those in later life.
“This is an exciting new chapter for me, and I am delighted to join the experienced team and fabulous residents at The Cotswold home who have made me so welcome,” comments Rares. “I plan to build on the excellent reputation that The Cotswold Home already has, creating a centre of excellence for care in the local community.”
“We have a very varied activities schedule at The Cotswold Home and I have already been out and about with some of our residents. I intend to be involved as much as I can with activities and will soon be joined by my dog, Rocco, who grew up in the care home environment,” comments Rares.
Going forward, part of Rares’s plans for the home is a special Palliative Unit to provide dedicated care for those with end of life and other special needs.
