Colleagues from MHA Stratton house will be taking part in a Tough Mudder to raise funds for the home
Colleagues from a Bath home will be taking part in a challenge to raise funds for their workplace
Harriet Law, Emma Richer, Amy Jacobs, Claire Stocker and Rebekah Nicholson all work at MHA Stratton House and will be taking part in the Tough Mudder at the Badminton Estate in South Gloucestershire on the 10th of August.
Tough Mudder creates hardcore obstacle courses in either a 5k or 15k format designed to test your all-around strength, stamina, and mental grit.
The four will be joined by colleagues from MHA Horfield Lodge Meg Hopgood and Kim Woods as well as two partners.
They will be raising funds for the home’s amenities fund, which is used to arrange trips and activities for the home.
A JustGiving page has been set up, where more than £500 has already been raised.
Harriet Law, who works as an administration manager said:
“Taking part in a fundraiser challenge was something that Amy and I had discussed but we always struggled to get the ball rolling.
“Once our group was made, we decided to do the Tough Mudder and that’s how it started.
“We roped in colleagues from another MHA home and the location is almost the same distance for all of us.
“Me and Amy have been training together and the rest of us have been training around each other to make sure we are prepared.
“It’s not going to be easy, but we are all doing what we can to be ready.
“It’s the first time we are all doing something like this, and I am confident we will have a great time and raise as much as we can for our residents.”
