Chippenham Home Hosts Christmas Fair And Raises More Than £550 For Residents

A Chippenham home got into the festive spirit by hosting a Christmas fair and raised more than £550 for their residents.

MHA The Fairways held their Christmas fair at the home and had a day packed full of festive activities.

Santa came to the home in the morning along with a raffle, tombola, and a biscuit and jewellery sale.

The jewellery was made by Jack Housden, a former resident of the home who sadly died last month.

Jack’s family decided to sell the jewellery at the fair as a way of contributing towards the cause.

In the afternoon there was some live entertainment by Victoria who performed some festive songs and carols.

The total amount raised was £565.00 and it will go towards purchasing specialist items for residents.

Tracey Curd, administration manager said:

“We had a great time during the Christmas fair, and it was enjoyed by everyone.

“Throughout the day we had around 100 people from all ages, and it was great to see a tremendous amount of support shown.

“We have had some great feedback from residents and their family members.

“The residents really enjoyed it and we are very happy with the amount raised.

“I want to thank everyone for their attendance and contribution, it really means a lot and will go a long way.”
