CEO Dr Pete Calveley Takes Barchester Under His Care
Dr Pete Calveley takes up his new position as CEO of Barchester Healthcare today, following the announcement of his appointment last year.
Former CEO of Four Seasons Health Care, Calveley brings to Barchester Healthcare an extensive knowledge and understanding of the care sector, and will lead a dedicated team of more than 17,000 Barchester staff who provide top quality services for more than 10,000 residents.
Calveley will continue to place high-quality care at the core of Barchester’s culture by focusing on the quality of its people, care settings, and the individualised care delivered to its residents.
Calveley said: “I am proud to be leading Barchester Healthcare in its 22nd year and look forward to meeting and listening to the inspirational people who work and live in our homes and hospitals over the coming months.
“I am committed to providing the highest quality of life for those residents living with us and support for their families. I believe that through continued investment in staff, adapting to increased residents’ needs and working closely with stakeholders, Barchester’s personalised approach to care will help us lead the way in continuing to achieve excellence in the social care sector.“

Dr Pete Calveley takes over from Interim CEO Willie MacDiarmid who joins Smart Metering Systems as Non-Executive Director later this year.
