Celebrating Care At Birch Green Care Home

A team from Birch Green attended a glamorous awards event recently, celebrating the best in care.

Our team, including staff members Jan, Angela and Emma attended the Great British Care Awards grand final at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London.

Jan was a finalist as our nutrition advocate at Birch Green, and Angela and Emma – along with team member Cathy – were finalists in the national Putting People First Category. We rubbed shoulders for the night with the care industry’s great and good.

Hosted by celebrity Jane Macdonald, the event included a champagne reception and three course meal.

Unfortunately we didn’t walk away with the grand prize, but we all had a wonderful night. It was great to hear all the stories and examples of good practice in care and join in celebrating the best in the business.

We also held a celebration here at Birch green, for residents and staff to join in and mark the team’s hard work getting through to the award’s finals.
