Celebrating 25 Years of Commendable Service at Old Gates
On 9th December, everyone at HC-One’s Old Gates residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Blackburn, celebrated with Home Manager Helen and her 25 years of service.
On behalf of Old Gates, colleagues would like to say how grateful they are to have such a well-respected and wonderful person leading the team. She is kind, caring and compassionate; determined and dedicated to her whole team.
Helen has been a pillar of strength and support to Old Gates colleagues and its residents. She inspires those who work for her, with her knowledge and wisdom, warm heart, and unimaginable strength.
One reception colleague commented, “We are privileged and proud to have our very own wonder woman! Thank you Helen and we hope that we have many more years. Enjoy the champagne, it’s more than deserved!”
The residents liked how happy Helen was and seeing how appreciated she is. They enjoyed being part of congratulating her on such an achievement!
Tommy, who is a resident at Old Gates admired all the gifts and balloons, commented, “Oh my goodness, that’s lovely that is, how nice! Hope someone got a picture.”
Helen commented, “I have been involved with Old Gates Care Home for several years and returned on a fulltime basis as Home Manager in 2018. I love this care home and hope to be here for many more years. Let us see what the future brings for Old Gates together.”
