Caring Homes Launch Campaign to Shine a Spotlight On Nurses And Nursing Care
Caring Homes begin 2025 with a campaign focused on nursing, bringing to life the work of nurses across the Caring Homes group and highlighting the value of choosing a care home that offers nursing care.
The campaign, which launches on Monday 13th January, will focus on a series of events being held across 16 Caring Homes under the banner, ‘Keeping Healthy in Older Age’, where the public are invited to meet the teams and find out more about the care provided.
In line with the campaign’s key messages around the impact of nursing care on residents’ wellbeing, visitors are also encouraged to think about their own health, with many of the participating homes offering a free blood pressure check as well as healthy drinks and snacks. Opportunities to learn more about nutrition, hydration and oral health for the elderly are also on offer, as well as the chance to join a seated exercise class or experience holistic relaxation treatments. Specific event information for each home can be found on the Caring Homes website.
As part of the campaign, a new website section will be unveiled which gives details of the nursing care available at Caring Homes, downloadable guides, and a series of stories and videos where nurses, residents, family and friends share their experiences of nursing care at Caring Homes.
Caring Homes’ Clinical Director, Frank Cummins, who describes himself as “nurse first, director second” is a proud ambassador for nursing care at Caring Homes, which is personalised to suit each resident’s needs and wishes:
“Getting to know not only the residents, but also their family and friends, is collaborative working at its very best – something that is second nature to our nurses, who also understand the need to maintain our residents’ dignity and respect. There are skilled nurses on duty in our nursing homes 24/7 and this campaign is designed to give greater insight into why they are so crucial in enabling every resident to live their own life with purpose, happiness and independence”.
