Care Provider Continues To Expand With Three Extra Care Services In Manchester
Care provider Radis Community Care is continuing to strengthen its local footprint as it becomes the care provider for three extra care housing services in Manchester.
Sarah Brown, Regional Manager at Radis Community Care said: “We’re thrilled to be the new care provider of these extra care services. We’re always looking for ways to further support the communities we work in, and by adding these services to our provision, we are able to expand the support available to these areas.
“We’re passionate about being a trusted and reliable provider, and these services mean we can be there for people in Manchester at the times when they feel most vulnerable. Our 24/7 care staff enable people to stay safe in the comfort of their own homes without unnecessary hospital admissions.”
Between the three services, they provide a communal lounge and dining room, well-maintained gardens, beauty salons and a programme of social activities. Also offering a variety of facilities on site, including a therapy room, a laundry room and a library, the extra care services continue to provide a social hub for both residents and the local community to enjoy.
Close to Manchester city centre, and managed by Jigsaw Homes Group, Butler Court in Miles Platting is made up of 71 one and two bedroom flats, offering residents a much more independent and social way of living.
Marcia Stock, Head of Housing for Over 55s at Jigsaw Homes Group said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Radis as the new care provider at Butler Court and working closely together to support our residents. Extra care schemes like ours are vital in helping people to live independently in their own homes, with the reassurance that high quality, person centred care is there when it’s needed.
“Butler Court is a place we are really proud of, and with Radis we can continue to ensure residents feel safe, supported and in control of their lives – both now and in the future.”
The Byrons is located further north, and is managed by Great Places Housing Group, consisting of 40 two-bedroom apartments and was the first extra care scheme in north Manchester.
Amy Davies, Head of Independent Living at Great Places Housing Group said:
“We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Radis as our new care provider and are confident they will support our care team to continue delivering a high quality, 24 hour service that helps customers to live independently at The Byrons.
“We’re particularly delighted that the existing care team will remain in place, many of whom have worked here for a number of years. Their experience and commitment will help ensure customers continue to receive consistent, reliable and tailored support.”
Similarly, Whitebeck Court offers residents flexible and responsive care in the comfort of their very own home, providing more than 90 apartments.
