Care Home Hosts Intergenerational Playgroup for the Young and Old

Hugh Myddelton House care home, in Southgate have recently hosted an intergenerational playgroup for residents and members of the local community. The event, which took place on 15th of August welcomed Anna, a local childminder and her group of toddlers to enjoy music, games and activities with residents at the home.

The group of toddlers also enjoyed sing along with residents to their favourite songs such as You Are My Sunshine, Old MacDonald Had a Farm, The Wheels on the Bus, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Hickory Dickory Dock to mention just a few of them.

The catering team at the care home provide a selection of healthy snacks on the day, including hand cut fruits and vegetables.

General Manager, Ramona Stanciu said:
“The residents at our home had a lot of fun on the day and loved our young visitors. If anyone ever wants to stop in for a lovely afternoon with your young ones, or just for a cuppa and a break, we’d love to have you join us.”
