Care Group Rolls Out Wellbeing Initiatives For Staff

UK wide health care group Hales Care has rolled out wellbeing schemes for their staff during this challenging period.

While the group are following the latest Public Health England guidance on coronavirus, they are understandably concerned about the physical and emotional wellbeing of their committed staff during such anxious and uneasy times.

Exercising is such an integral part of health and wellbeing during the lockdown, which is why the Hales Care group is rolling out free online Zumba classes available for anyone to join.

Professional Zumba instructor Andy Brown will be leading the sessions to help encourage engagement and light-hearted fun, to bring a smile to the faces of those who need it most.

The first Zumba fitness video is available for anyone to join, with this link: https://halescare.co.uk/zumba-workout/.

Wellbeing Support

Whether self-isolating or working hard within the Hales care schemes, the group has recognised that anxiety, worry, loneliness and concern for the wellbeing of family and friends, may be hard for staff to process at the moment.

The group is encouraging any of their staff to contact their free Employee Assistance Helpline, which can help them in the following ways:

  • 24/7 support from qualified professionals, such as counsellors and nurses.
  • Up to six free counselling sessions, via telephone or video call.
  • Access to the Health & Wellbeing Hub, which helps the Hales staff to manage their physical and emotional health.

Hales Care has also set up a free bereavement support helpline, to help those members of staff who are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a loved one.
