Care Group Adds Weight To Think Local Campaign

Care-Group-Adds-Weight-To-ThinkA major national campaign committed to transforming health and care through community-based help is being supported by a leading North West-based care group.

The national partnership Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) supported by Premier Care provides advice for those with care and support needs, carers and family members.

Through the collaboration of more than 30 organisations, the campaign involves central and local government, the NHS and providers of care.

Jay Dutson, registered manager for Premier Care Wirral, said: “We put people at the centre of everything we do and we support this campaign as part of that. Ultimately, this is about helping people to lead better lives, not just changing systems and processes.

“Our advice from people on the ground through to the shaping of specific, personal care packages means we are helping them to be more independent at home and in their communities.

“As an organisation committed to the communities in which we work, the care provided should be individual to all, and should fit with the needs of the person.”

The work of the TLAP partnership is co-ordinated by a small core team with programme leads responsible for pooling resources from different partnership members.

As a registered Care Quality Commission provider, Premier Care can assist in developing tailor-made packages to meet specific care needs including domiciliary care, re-ablement and mental health across the North West including the Pendlebury area, Bolton, Crewe, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford, Wigan, Warrington and the Wirral.
