A new care home will be opening in Lincoln early next year – and care specialists Tanglewood are asking the people of Lincoln to think up a name for the home.
Work is progressing well on the new 72-bed care home with nursing being built by family business Tanglewood Care Homes on Long Leys Road in Lincoln.
The home will open its doors to new residents in February 2019, when between 50 and 60 new jobs will be created.
But as yet Tanglewood has not decided on a name for the home, which will become the sixth care home in the group.
The names of the other homes within the group are Hunters Creek in Boston, Cedar Falls in Spalding, Tanglewood in Horncastle, Toray Pines in Coningsby and Sandpiper in Alford.
“Our new home will be a great addition to the Long Leys Road area of Lincoln and we’re looking forward to quickly becoming part of the local community,” said Tanglewood owner and founder Tracy-Ann Shelbourn.
“It’s important that we give the home a name that resonates with local people and has relevance to the area so we’re approaching residents’ associations, local schools and community groups to find a really suitable name.”
The new name might relate to Long Leys Road, where the home is situated, or the nearby St George’s Hospital site – or it could reflect the home’s position on the edge of West Common or local landmarks such as Ellis’ Mill.
The competition to find a name is open to everyone and the person or group who thinks up the winning entry will receive £100 of Amazon vouchers.
“The new home is due to open in February 2019 so we’re keen to find a name as soon as possible,” said Tracy-Ann.
To enter, simply send an email to email@example.com with the subject line NAMING COMPETITION and explain which name you’ve chosen and why.
The deadline for entries is Friday 19th October 2018, the judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
