Buckinghamshire Care, the LA trading company for Buckinghamshire County Council, supports people across Buckinghamshire both in their own homes and in the community through opportunities centres and supported employment schemes. Sarah is responsible for managing the home care service and leads a team of support staff across the county.
The home care service enables people to remain independent in their own homes, helping them with everyday tasks whilst the reablement service supports people back to independence following a stay in hospital.
Sarah said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won this award. I’m lucky enough to work with a fantastic team, which makes my job so enjoyable. We provide care and support to people across Buckinghamshire and I feel very privileged to be able to lead my team so that we are able to provide such high-quality care to people in their own homes. This really is a team effort and everyone should be very proud.”
The Registered Home Care Manager title is awarded to the manager who ‘demonstrated a high level of expertise and has shown vision in developing viable quality services and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of service users.’
Martin Farrow, Managing Director of Buckinghamshire Care, said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled for Sarah. She consistently sets high standards and shows exceptional commitment to her role, her team and the people we support. She continues to develop the services we offer with the involvement of our clients and their families. When you have a great team of people you really can achieve great things.”
