Bramwell Celebrates International Cultural Day
Bramwell Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, welcomed residents, families and staff together on 29 May 2026 for its annual International Cultural Day — a vibrant celebration of the diverse backgrounds, heritages and traditions that enrich life within the home.
The event, held across the home and its communal spaces, brought the wider Bramwell community together through an afternoon of traditional cuisine, live music and dance performances. Guests were invited to sample dishes from a range of world cuisines, while music and dance from different cultural traditions provided a lively and inclusive backdrop to the occasion.
International Cultural Day is observed annually across all Runwood Homes sites, offering a dedicated opportunity for residents, relatives and colleagues to recognise and honour the rich diversity of their communities. This year’s celebration at Bramwell saw participants donning cultural attire, sharing personal traditions and engaging in conversations that bridged backgrounds and generations.
For residents in particular, the event provided a meaningful chance to share personal stories, connect with their own heritage and discover the traditions of those around them — a reminder that the experiences and identities of every individual within the home are valued and celebrated.
