Bracebridge Court Strengthens Community Ties With Tesco Through Generous Donation

Bracebridge Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently benefitted from a strong community collaboration when Tesco’s Community Champion, Claire, offered to support the home’s ongoing initiatives. The connection was established after Claire reached out to Bracebridge Court via social media, inviting staff members to visit the Atherstone Tesco store to collect a special donation.

A few weeks ago, Donna and Elaine, the Lifestyle Coordinators at Bracebridge Court, along with Ella, one of the home’s dedicated volunteers, visited the Atherstone Tesco store. They were joined by Hilda, a cherished resident of Bracebridge Court, who eagerly participated in the collection.

The group was pleasantly surprised by the sheer volume and quality of the items donated by Tesco. The generosity left everyone in awe, with Hilda expressing heartfelt gratitude, stating, “My goodness, how generous you have all been. Thank you so much.”

Claire and the Tesco store manager emphasised their commitment to fostering strong community ties. They expressed a keen interest in continuing their support for Bracebridge Court, encouraging the care home to reach out for future events, such as coffee mornings and other community gatherings.

These donations are vital to the success of events like Bracebridge Court’s annual Summer Fete, where funds are raised for the residents’ fund. The contribution from Tesco will undoubtedly play a significant role in this year’s festivities.
