Bognor Regis Home Rallies In Community Support And Manages To Raise Over £1400 From Quiz Night
A Bognor Regis home called on the support of its community who didn’t disappoint and helped to raise more than £1400 for the home.
MHA Greenways held a quiz night at The Bear Inn, on Pagham Road alongside a raffle, which was heavily supported by local businesses in the area.
The quiz night was a huge success, with the venue running out of space for members of the public.
The quiz and raffle helped to contribute a grand total of £1453, which will go towards the homes amenities fund.
Some of the money has already been put to good use, with a pantomime being booked for residents.
The home provides residential and residential dementia care for 44 residents.
Joanne Mitchell, activity coordinator said:
“The quiz night was something we came up with following some fundraisers which had not been very successful.
“My fellow activity coordinator Laura was instrumental in making teh quiz night a success.
“She made a lot of enquiries with local businesses, trying to get their support and engaged really well with the community.
“It was her contacts that led to us using The Bear Inn.
“The quiz night was a very busy event and one that we are all very proud of.
“Speaking to people that were there, I was told it was very busy and we all want to thank the community for their support shown.
“To reach the figure we did is amazing and will go a long way in supporting our residents.
“Based on how popular and successful the night was, we are looking into doing something like this again.”
