Bayleaf Care Home Honours Carers For National Carers Week

Residents at Bayleaf Care Home in Huntingdon are celebrating National Carers’ Week, which takes place from June 8th-14th. Residents wanted to thank all the wonderful staff at the home, whose hard work and dedication make a real difference to the lives of those living in their care.

Carers Week is an annual event to raise awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges carers face, and recognising the contribution they make to our residents, families and communities throughout the UK. The theme for Carers Week this year is ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities’ which highlights the impact carer friendly communities can have in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere. The campaign will be brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations taking action to ensure more communities understand, recognise, and empower carers.

Staff at Bayleaf Care Home are being treated to a wide variety of treats and other goodies as the residents have their chance to thank the care staff for all of their hard work that goes on at the home on a daily basis.

Katie Wilkinson, General Manager at Bayleaf Care Home said: “It is so wonderful to be able to celebrate Carers Week and thank our fantastic carers. To be able to welcome the community, relatives and friends into the home is always a pleasure. Everyone is having such a brilliant week.”
