Albany Celebrates New Bar and Chef’s 20 Years of Service

It was a momentous day at Albany nursing home, as residents, their families, and the dedicated team came together to celebrate the grand opening of the new residents’ bar, the Albany Inn. The event was marked by joy, community spirit, and heartfelt recognition of longstanding service.

Gordon Cochrane, CEO of Healthcare Homes, had the honour of officially opening The Albany Inn. The new bar is set to be a wonderful addition to the Albany community, providing a cosy and inviting space for residents to socialise and relax. The opening ceremony saw a fantastic turnout, with residents and their families joining in to make the day truly special.

Adding to the day’s festivities, Albany took the opportunity to honour their exceptional chef, Marek, for his remarkable 20 years of service. Marek has been a cornerstone of Albany’s culinary team, consistently delivering delicious meals and treats. For this special occasion, Marek prepared an outstanding spread and a beautiful cake, showcasing his culinary talents and dedication.

“We are incredibly proud of Marek and grateful for his two decades of service,” said Lynn Gray, Home Manager at Albany. “His commitment and passion for his craft have made a significant impact, and today’s celebration is a testament to his hard work.”
