Agincare Assumes Operation of Three Care Homes In Richmond
Independent care provider Agincare has officially commenced operations at three care homes in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, marking the beginning of a new partnership with the local authority from 1 July.
The family-owned provider has taken responsibility for care services and facilities management at Whitefarm Lodge Care Home in Twickenham, Greville House Care Home in Richmond, and Laurel Dene Care Home in Hampton.
Agincare has worked closely with Richmond Council to ensure a smooth transition takes place at the homes, which can together support 218 publicly funded and self-funded residents.
The handover has seen over 300 team members transfer to Agincare.
Agincare Group Chief Executive Raina Summerson said: “We are delighted to warmly welcome residents, relatives and teams at the homes in Richmond to Agincare and look forward to getting to know them and their local communities further in the coming weeks.
“With 40 years of experience in delivering high-quality care in the community Agincare has managed numerous transfers from local authorities, charities, and independent providers. This means we are aware of the concerns of people during such changes, and the importance of providing reassurance and communicating effectively throughout.
“We are proud of our many successful and long-term partnerships with councils across England.”
The Richmond homes join Agincare’s expanding network of 170+ locations nationwide, including over 40 high-quality residential and nursing homes, featuring many long-standing partnerships with local councils.
Councillor Piers Allen, Chair of the Adult Social Services, Health and Housing Services Committee and Chair of the Health and Wellbeing Board said: “We are proud of the quality care and facilities that we provide for some of our most vulnerable residents in the borough. Our residential care homes provide 24-hour care, enabling quality all-round care to our residents with some of the most complex needs.
“We look forward to working in partnership with Agincare to deliver these services into the future with us and continue to improve the quality of care for our residents and support them to live longer, healthier and happier lives.”
