Accomplish Celebrates Two Wins At Wales’ Social Care ‘Oscars’

OscarAccomplish, a specialist provider of support for people living with Mental Health needs, Autism, Learning Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) are celebrating after winning two awards at Wales’ ‘Social Care Oscars’ – the Wales Care Awards 2018.

The Wales Care Awards is a highlight in the social care calendar and was introduced to honour the hard work and dedication of the people who work in the sector. Kelly Pirotte, accomplish’s Head of Learning and Development, from Ystradgynlais in Swansea, won Gold in the Commitment to Training and Workforce Development category while Maggie Rose, a Clinical Team Lead and Mental Health Nurse for accomplish, also from Swansea, won a Bronze award in the Nurse of the Year category during the awards ceremony held at Cardiff City Hall.

Kelly was recognised for her market leading Learning and Development department which hugely benefits both staff and people they support. She was praised for her positivity and ability to motivate staff to deliver positive outcomes for people they support.

Kelly Pirotte (above right) said:

I’m shocked and delighted to have been awarded the Gold award at this year’s Wales Care Awards. I love my job as Head of Learning and Development at accomplish, I get to work with amazing people who put people we support at the heart of everything we do. To win an award for this is a lovely bonus”.

Maggie was praised for her dedication to the people she supports, her advocacy for the key role that specialist nursing plays in supporting people living with disabilities, and for her mentorship of other members of staff.

Maggie Rose (above left) said:

“ I was so surprised when I heard I had been nominated for this award, so to win Bronze was a huge surprise and I’m so pleased.

“As a Clinical Team Leader at accomplish, I work with an amazing team of people who go above and beyond every day to help people we support live fulfilling lives. I’d like to share the Nurse of the Year Bronze Award with them, and thank them for being such a wonderful team”.
