A VIP Visitor Brings A Special Gift To A Marlborough Court Resident

Royal-College-of-NursingRoyal College of Nursing (RCN) President Andrea Spyropoulos recently visited the home to surprise a resident who was previously a nurse, midwife and health visitor and marked her years in the profession by presenting her with flowers. During her visit, Andrea also met with residents and staff and visited the home’s new sensory dementia garden. She said: “This garden offers the perfect setting for those with dementia – it is a real pleasure to visit it.” Andrea was also impressed with the commitment shown by Marlborough Court in becoming the first home in the UK to obtain the Deaf Care Quality Mark. She said: “It is essential that care homes offer top quality services.” Also attending the visit was Pauline Lawrance, Managing Director at Four Seasons Health Care, who discussed all aspects of nursing management the RCN President.

Home Manager, Maggie Candy said: “We are always pleased to welcome guests here and, as a Four Seasons Health Care home, we were delighted to be visited by Andrea and were pleased to show her around our outstanding facilities.”
