Care Home Manager Takes to the Dance Floor for End-of-Life Care Fundraiser

Christian Mason, Registered Manager at Thornhill House, swapped his day-to-day responsibilities for the dance floor, taking to the stage alongside professional dancer Amelia at a fundraising event in aid of end-of-life care at Barnsley Hospital.

Christian joked that he had “two left feet”, but he proved that a person does not need to be a professional to put on a spectacular show. He impressed the audience with a performance full of energy, enthusiasm and excitement, and by all accounts had the place on fire.

The event raised money for an important cause, supporting the work of the end-of-life care team at Barnsley Hospital.

Strong Life Care sponsored the trophies for the event, and organisers thanked the company for helping to make the occasion even more special.

Colleagues at Thornhill House said they were extremely proud of Mr Mason for stepping out of his comfort zone, embracing the challenge and raising money for such a meaningful cause.

Residents of the home attended the event to watch their manager perform. They cheered him on and enjoyed every moment, and staff said it was wonderful to see their smiles, support and pride as he shone on stage.

Christian performance showed that with a little courage, plenty of enthusiasm and a good cause to dance for, even two left feet can make a big impression!
