New, Innovative Dementia Care Specialist Sponsors The Alzheimer’s Show

Multi-specialist dementia care provider Red & Yellow Care sponsors Alzheimer’s Matter’s Theatre

Red & Yellow Care, a new provider of clinical dementia care and support is to sponsor the ‘Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre’ at this year’s Alzheimer’s Show when it returns to the larger London venue, London Olympia on 16th & 17th May 2014.

The Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre, which seats 200 visitors, provides a central hub for the expert and specialist speakers presenting to the audience of professional and personal carers over the two days. The range of topics covered will include up-to-the-minute research developments, financial advice, care paths and post-diagnostic care.

Experts presenting in the Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre already include Doug Brown, director of research (G8) at Alzheimer’s Research UK and Jeremy Hughes, chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society.

There is also commitment from a number of current and ex-cabinet Government representatives, as well as specialists from the Dementia Friends initiative and Dementia UK (Admiral Nurses), all of whom will be confirmed and announced in March.

In addition to the in-depth talks on key topics of interest for carers, relatives and professionals, the Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre, sponsored by Red & Yellow Care, will provide the venue for a chaired ‘Question Time’ session on both days and also Dementia Friends Information sessions throughout the event.

“We’re delighted to sponsor the Alzheimer’s Matters Theatre at The Alzheimer’s Show 2014 and together help raise awareness for new and innovative ways of improving the care of people with dementia and supporting their families” said Dr Bahbak Miremadi, founding director of Red & Yellow Care.

“It’s great that this event brings together a diverse group of organisations and individuals set on addressing dementia and the many challenges it presents. We hope that by moving towards a model of treating the whole person, not just the condition, we can help people with dementia and their families live life to the full,” continued Dr Miremadi.

About The Alzheimer’s Show 2014

The Alzheimer’s Show is the UK’s only public event dedicated to providing support, information, products and resources to those living with or caring for someone with dementia. It is held in association with the Alzheimer’s Society and this year will precede the society’s Dementia Awareness Week, which starts on Sunday 18th May 2014.

The objective of The Alzheimer’s Show is to provide people who need it with direct access to the experts, information, advice and the best products and services available, so that they can help those living with or caring for a person with dementia.

It is sponsored and supported by many of the organisations that are leading the way to enhanced care for dementia including SweetTree Home Care Services, Care UK and Red & Yellow Care and the principal charities Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Dementia UK and Admiral Nurses.

Throughout the event, these organisations and many others will be making presentations detailing the latest research and care developments.
