Gracewell of Ascot Help to Tackle Poverty in Local Community

Residents and staff at Gracewell of Ascot want to help the local community by encouraging donations to Bracknell food bank.

Bracknell Food Bank is run by the Trussell Trust, and they provide people in need with non-perishable, nutritionally balanced food boxes, using donated food items.

As part of the home’s community initiative, Gracewell of Ascot will be donating to Bracknell foodbank regularly and they now have their own donation box situated in the reception area of the care home.

Located just opposite Ascot Racecourse, Gracewell of Ascot would like to encourage anyone, including residents and their families to donate long-life and in date food items and un-opened toiletries such as deodorant, toothbrushes and shampoos. Anyone who donates is also very welcome join Gracewell of Ascot team members and residents for a complimentary cup of tea or coffee and it is also a good opportunity for visitors to take a look around the home.

Zavia Mitchell, Home Admissions Advisor at Gracewell of Ascot said:

“At Gracewell of Ascot we always strive to do as much as we possibly can to support our local community, especially people who may be in need of a helping hand. We want to encourage as many people as possible to donate anything they can, every single item, no matter how small, can make a huge difference.”
