104-Year-Old-Birthday Girl Receives 104 Birthday Cards
Kate Roberts a resident at Ritson Lodge Care Home received over 104 birthday cards on her 104th birthday.
The Team at Ritson lodge reached out to the local community to make Kate’s day extra special.
Kate a popular resident and former nurse, who loves music said “I couldn’t believe how many cards I received and I took the time to read each and every single one. It made by birthday really special”. Kate also enjoyed a home-made birthday cake from the Chef and visit from local Alpacas to finish of a birthday to remember.
After the request was made via the care homes Facebook page the deliveries came thick and fast from staff at James Paget Hospital, 999 services, local community organisations and there were handmade cards from the pupils at Hopton Primary School.

“We can’t thank our friends and local community enough for making Kates 104th birthday so brilliant. It was a pleasure to see the surprise on her face when we presented the cards and the team enjoyed helping Kate read each one.
