Norman Lamb Visits Cornwall Care

Norman Lamb MP, Care Services Minister and Cllr Simon Rix, Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate, visited Redannick where they were greeted by Douglas Webb CEO and Redannick Manager, Linda Delbridge.

Last year, Norman Lamb announced that Cornwall had been successful in its bid to become an “integration pioneer”. 14 integration pioneers were selected across the country, to explore news ways of providing more joined-up care focused on the needs of individual patients.

He said: “I am pleased that Cornwall is leading the way in delivering better care, and am glad I will have the chance to hear directly from the people behind this initiative in Cornwall. As a Liberal Democrat, I am determined to deliver better care across our health and care system. I want health and care organisations to work together so we can build a fairer society in which everyone can access the care and support they need to live healthy and fulfilled lives.”

On arrival at Redannick Douglas Webb, Norman Lamb and Simon Rix were greeted with afternoon tea whilst they discussed changing attitudes within the sector, service integration and some of the challenges that the care sector faces in 2014.
