HC-One Celebrates Being Shortlisted For The Prestigious Title Of Residential Care Provider Of The Year

HC-One, the Kind Care Company, are celebrating being named as a finalist for HealthInvestor’s Residential Care Provider of the Year award. The shortlisting is in recognition of the excellent work that goes on day in, day out throughout HC-One’s family of homes.

The HealthInvestor Awards, which will be held on 13 June 2018, promote excellence and recognise innovation in the independent healthcare sector. They offer an opportunity to showcase expertise and commitment to what is an increasingly important sector for the UK economy. The finalist entries are judged by a panel of high profile, independent judges from across the sector. The HealthInvestor Awards 2017 was the biggest event of the year for the health industry and this year proves to be even bigger than ever.

HC-One believes that they have been shortlisted for this award because of the passion and enthusiasm all HC-One colleagues have for their job, which translates into the kindest possible care. HC-One have made a significant investment into technology, allowing Residents to interact with loved ones via Wi-Fi, and is recognised by Skills for Care as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for staff training programmes. In a recent annual Resident and relative survey, 94% of the 5,300 respondents scoring HC-One ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ for kindness.

This is the latest accolade for HC-One, with nurse Julie Noble being crowned the UK’s Nurse of the Year for 2017 at the recent National Care Awards, and its Jack Dormand care home receiving an Outstanding rating from the CQC, one of the very few providers to achieve this rating for a nursing home. Last month, HC-One was also rated one of the top care home groups in the country in the carehome.co.uk awards, after boasting an impressive 9.2/10 average rating on the sector’s leading care home comparison website.

Over its seven year history, HC-One has made significant investments of over £130 million into improving quality, estates and people development. HC-One provides care at over 350 homes nationally, and this award nomination reflects HC-One’s commitment to being the care provider of choice across its family of homes for individuals looking for the kindest care and support.

HC-One Chief Executive Justin Hutchens said:

“We are delighted that HC-One is a finalist for the Residential Care Home Group of the Year award by HealthInvestor.

“HealthInvestor is one of the leading publications in the UK care sector, and this is a tremendous honour for the whole company. All the members of our team should be proud of the role that they have played in this achievement.”
