Worcester-Based Home Recognised Nationally For Leadership And Innovation In Dementia Care

The Mill House Care Home in Worcester has achieved the Three Star Platinum Accreditation from the National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme (NaDCAS) — the organisation’s highest level of recognition for dementia care practice and leadership.

This elite accreditation follows a comprehensive, evidence-based audit evaluating over 140 dementia care criteria across areas such as person-centred care, environment, team approach, and emotional connection. The Platinum standard signifies exceptional practice and positions The Mill House as one of only four care homes in the UK to achieve this distinction.

Rebecca Rawlings, Registered Manager at The Mill House, commented:
“Achieving NaDCAS Three Star Platinum Accreditation represents the very highest recognition of our team’s dedication and expertise. It validates our belief that dementia care should be compassionate, connected, and centred around meaningful living — not just meeting needs but truly enriching lives.”

The NaDCAS accreditation framework supports continuous improvement in dementia care, providing an evidence-based pathway for care providers striving for excellence across leadership, environment, and culture.

In celebration of this milestone, The Mill House will host a launch event on Thursday 11th December (2–5 pm).
