Wolves Players Bring Festive Cheer to Newcross Care Home
Residents at Newcross Care Home have enjoyed six weeks of activity and support through Molineux Memories, a project delivered by the Wolves Foundation as part of the Players’ Project Pilot, which is funded by the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA). The initiative has provided exercise and interactive therapy sessions, particularly benefiting residents living with dementia.
To celebrate the success of the programme, three Wolverhampton Wanderers first team players, Jackson Tchatchoua, Yerson Mosquera and Ladislav Krejci, visited the home to join in with choir practice and help decorate the Christmas tree. The players spent the afternoon chatting with residents, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere that was met with great enthusiasm.
The visit was especially meaningful for lifelong Wolves supporters at the home, who were thrilled to meet the players and share stories about their love of the club. One resident, Joan Davies, aged 100, said she “really loved chatting about the football with the players” and continues to follow the team closely.
