Wath upon Dearne Home Makes Most of Sunshine by Hosting Fair Which Raises Hundreds

A Wath upon Dearne home made the most of some lovely weather by hosting a summer fair which raised hundreds.

MHA The Beeches opened its doors to friends, family and members of the community and raised £494 in the process.

The funds raised will go towards the homes amenities fund, which will go towards trips out and animals visits which have been planned for later on in the year.

The fair included tombola, a raffle, and various stalls such as a cake and wax melt stall.

Kerry Taylor, activities coordinator said: “We had a really good time during the summer fair, and it was lovely to see the support shown to us.

“We had more than 30 visitors which were a mix of family and friends, the weather was great, and it was a really nice day.

“To raise the amount we did is a great achievement, and the money will go towards plenty of activities.

“We received some great feedback from family members of residents telling us they really enjoyed it.

“It was a real team effort from everyone at the home, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of one another.

“I want to thank everyone who played their part and look forward to arranging something like this again.

“Here at MHA The Beeches, we can honestly say we have some lovely families who show their support every time we do events, so a huge thanks to them as well.”
