Radcliffe Care Home Welcomes Star Performance From Local Singer Cherelle

Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Rose Court Care Home in Radcliffe, Manchester, were treated to a spectacular afternoon of live music, when professional singer Cherelle Somerset, granddaughter of resident Edith Ramsey, came to perform for her grandmother and fellow residents.

Cherelle, who is well-known for her tribute performances to Whitney Houston, delighted everyone with a lively set featuring classic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Her powerful renditions of songs by Whitney Houston and Tina Turner, including a crowd-pleasing performance of Proud Mary, had residents and colleagues singing and dancing along.

Sitting proudly at the front of the audience was Cherelle’s grandmother, Edith, who was beaming with joy throughout the performance.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, music, and movement, with residents describing the show as “absolutely fantastic.” After nearly an hour and a half of non-stop entertainment, Cherelle was presented with flowers and chocolates by Rose Court’s Home Manager, Leanne Batten-Smith, as a heartfelt thank you for her time and talent.

Cherelle’s performance brought smiles to everyone’s faces and created a truly memorable day for residents, colleagues, and families alike. The Rose Court community is already eagerly looking forward to her next visit.

Leanne Batten-Smith, Home Manager at HC-One’s Rose Court Care Home, said:
“We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Cherelle to Rose Court, and it was especially moving to see her perform for her grandmother, Edith, and all of our residents. Music has such a wonderful way of bringing people together, and Cherelle’s energy and talent created such a joyful atmosphere. The smiles, singing, and dancing we saw today are exactly what makes moments like this so special for our residents, colleagues, and families.”
