New Manager For Colchester Care Services

Salutem Care and Education has appointed a new manager to oversee two of its Colchester services.

Joshua Klotia-Clottey, the new manager of Newlands and Stanway, has worked for Salutem for five years after moving away from the hospitality industry.

His parents were foster carers so he was always aware of the care sector and the difference it can make to the lives of individuals. Joshua began working nights as a support worker, before being promoted to senior support worker, then deputy manager.

His aim is to help individuals live life to the fullest and make sure their disabilities are never seen as setbacks. He said “It’s always been my aim to help the individuals we support as much as possible. I’m really thankful to the wonderful teams at Newlands and Stanway who I know give all individuals we support the best possible chance of living as independently as possible.

“Salutem has supported my career progression by funding my Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care. At Salutem progression isn’t just promised, it’s demonstrated through real opportunities and investment in aspiring leaders.”

Regional director of Salutem Care and Education, Lucy Bithell said:
“Big congratulations to Josh and I wish him every success in his new role. I know he will do an amazing job for the individuals we support and for his teams. He is a testament to the incredible career opportunities in the social care sector here at Salutem.”
