MP Praises Old Malton Care Home
A North Yorkshire MP has visited a recently opened care home in Old Malton, to praise the quality of its facilities and the dedication of its team.
Kevin Hollinrake visited Manor Park care home, part of Sandstone Care Group, to meet residents and staff and learn more about the home’s approach to person-centred care.
Manor Park, which opened its doors recently, provides residential dementia care in a luxury, purpose-built setting designed to promote comfort, independence and wellbeing. The home features modern en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas, and dementia-friendly landscaped gardens, alongside a varied activities programme tailored to residents’ interests.
During his visit, Mr Hollinrake was given a tour of the home, spending time speaking with residents and colleagues about their experiences and the positive impact the service is having within the local community.
Laura Clegg, registered commissioning manager at Manor Park, said: “We were delighted to welcome Mr Hollinrake to Manor Park and to showcase the home and the fantastic work of our team. It was a great opportunity to highlight the importance of high-quality care provision within our community and demonstrate the positive difference a purpose-built environment can make to residents’ lives.
“At Manor Park, our focus is always on delivering compassionate, person-centred care that enables people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives, and we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved here in a relatively short space of time.”
Speaking at the home Mr Hollinrake said: “It’s fabulous, it’s like a five-star hotel. It’s a huge investment in the town and the locality, which is really important and that creates jobs and opportunities for local people.”
