Cinnamon Care Collection Sponsors British Adventurer Raising Funds for Dementia Research

Cinnamon Care Collection is proud to have been the headline sponsor for 25-year-old British adventurer Louis Alexander’s incredible feat of becoming the first person in history to run eight consecutive marathons across all eight Australian capital cities. Louis completed this world-first Australian Marathon Expedition on 15 September, in just 6 days, 23 hours and 40 minutes. He covered over 330 kilometres on foot and travelled more than 6,000 miles between cities, battling temperatures ranging from 3°C in Canberra to 33°C in Darwin, enduring rain, humidity, and sleepless nights spent in airports.

This latest achievement builds on Louis’s growing legacy of extreme challenges. In 2024, he became the first person to run marathons across all seven continents and swim marathon distances across all seven seas. Together, these expeditions have raised over £50,000 for dementia research in memory of his grandfather, a former Captain in the British Army who lived with dementia for 17 years.

Carole Hunt, Director, Cinnamon Care Collection said,
“It has been an honour to sponsor Louis as he pushes boundaries with these amazing feats. Louis is an incredibly inspiring young man and one of the leading voices for dementia advocacy in the younger generation. He uses his platform in the media to raise awareness and funds for dementia research, diagnosis, care and beyond. As specialists in providing high-quality dementia care, this is a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.”

Louis Alexander added,
“I am extremely grateful to have had Cinnamon Care Collection on board as the Headline Sponsor for my world-first expedition. It’s rare to find a partnership which holds the same values so closely, and I was excited to have carried the Cinnamon flag across all 8 Australian capital cities and marathons. We both believe in the importance for dementia care and advocacy, and fighting this cruel disease, in many ways like adventure, is a team effort. We all have the ability to play a small role, and together we can make a real difference.”
