Care Manager Celebrates 10 Years Of Service With Hickathrift House

A Home General Manager at Hickathrift House Care Home in Marshland St. James, Wisbech has received a prestigious Ten-Year Service Award in celebration of working at Barchester Healthcare for the last decade.

Paula Melerski, now General Manager, started at Barchester in December 2015, prior to beginning her journey at the home, Paula was a registered nurse for 30 years, after visiting the home and falling in love with Hickathrift House she decided to become a Carer before becoming a Senior Carer, Head of Memory Lane, Home Deputy Manager before finally becoming the Home General Manager and has worked with residents and their relatives to ensure that their needs have been met over the years.

Adele Keenan, Employee Services Director at Barchester said: “I’m always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and am delighted Paula has achieved this milestone. It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.”
